A-list celebrities display their generosity.

Reuters is reporting that popular married couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have donated $1 million, earlier today, in educational aid to Iraqi children in that country, as well as children here in the United States who have been directly affected by the ongoing war.

The couple’s charity, known as The Jolie-Pitt Foundation, has already donated an incredible $500,000 to three separate charities in Iraq with the intention of assisting approximately 6,000 children.

The money that the celebrity couple has donated to the children is intended to help them afford various basic necessities such as textbooks and school supplies.

Jolie and Pitt have donated another $500,000 to children residing in the United States that have tragically had one of their parents who served in the military killed in Iraq. Their generous contributions have put them in an extremely positive spotlight in the public eye.

Jolie and Pitt’s contributions to the children in the U.S. will go directly to the Armed Services YMCA Operation Hero Program, according to Reuters.
