Billboard Chart Topped by Katy Perry
Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" topped Billboard charts this week.
Last week, Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" was number 1 on the Billboard charts and now it is number 6, thanks in part to Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl," which took the top spot this week. This also marks the 1,000th number 1 of an era of rock that began in 1955 with "Rock Around the Clock." Perry's new album, One of the Boys, debuted at number 9 on Wednesday.
According to Reuters, rounding out the top 5 this week are: Lil' Wayne's "Lollipop," Leona Lewis's "Bleeding Love," Rihanna's "Take a Bow," and Natasha Bedingfield's "Pocketful of Sunshine."
