Actor Nathan Lane has signed on to be in the Broadway adaptation of The Addams Family, portraying Gomez Addams, WENN reports.
The classic television show has been turned into a movie and now it will hit the stage with singing and dancing next year. The 2002 film, Catch Me If You Can, has also been looked at as a musical possibility, and Lane is also in talks to be involved with that.
But in The Addams Family, he will play the creepy but quaint family's patriarch. Other actors slated to appear in the musical include Bebe Neuwirth, famous for Cheers, as Morticia, his creepy leading lady.
Since its debut in 1964 on television starring John Astin, The Addams Family has seen a plethora of other remakes on both the big and small screens.
