Redmond O'Neal Brought Up on Drug Charges

Redmond O'Neal brought up on drug charges for possession of heroin and amphetamines.

The son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal, Redmond O'Neal, has pleaded guilty to the charge of possessing heroin and methamphetamine in Malibu, Calif., reported the Associated Press.

O'Neal, 23, pleaded guilty on Thursday in a Malibu court to the two counts against him which are felonies as well as another misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs. The second DUI charge was dismissed as part of a plea deal, according to AP.

Three years' probation were given for the misdemeanor charge as well as a fine of about $1,700, reported AP. The district attorney's office told AP that he was also ordered into drug treatment until next month to determine whether he should be in a drug-diversion program on the felony charges.

The arrest for these charges occurred on January 26 after being stopped on the Pacific Coast Highway for speeding near Malibu, reported the Associated Press.
