Bill Murray and Wife Divorce

BCC News reports that Jennifer Butler Murray has filed for divorce last month in Charleston County, S.C., from her husband, Bill Murray.

Her reasons for divorce are abuse, addiction to marijuana and alcohol, leaving home often without telling her, travelling overseas to engage in sexual liaisons and altercations. Murray refused to comment on these allegations.

She will get their homes on Sullivan's Island, S.C., and in Hemet, Calif., as well as custody of their four boys. Murray also has to pay her $7 million within 60 days of the divorce as per their agreement in a pre-nuptial contract. He also has visitation rights and will pay child support.

The lawyer representing Murray said that the actor is deeply saddened by the divorce. This is the end of the actor's second marriage.

The two met on set, she was a costume designer and wardrobe supervisor for a few of his films, including Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters II. They married in 1997 and have four boys within their 11 years together.
