“Wanted” Makes a Record

“Wanted” breaks a record at the box office.
The sci-fi action flick starring Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy, and Morgan Freeman made two records in its opening weekend at the box office. One of the records, they broke and now hold, is for best opening for an R-rated film in the month of June, and the second record is that its opening is the 6th best opening for an R-rated film ever, according to Variety and reported by justjared.buzznet.com.
This past weekend, its opening weekend, it was No. 2 at the box office, only surpassed by WALL-E. WALL-E made a total of $23.1 million in its opening, the largest amount for all of Pixar’s films, and its total for the weekend is $62.5 million. Wanted had a total of $51.1 million, which went beyond expectations.
