29-Jun-2008
Written by: Malia Brown
A little robot is Pixar’s next big thing.
From monsters, to fish, to robots, Pixar never fails to deliver.
According to Yahoo! Movies, WALL-E, the Pixar Animation tale of a robot toiling away on a long-abandoned Earth, debuted as the No. 1 movie with $62.5 million in ticket sales.
WALL-E maintains the perfect track record of Pixar, the Walt Disney unit that has made nine mega-successful films including Toy Story, Cars, and Monsters, Inc.
Pixar's biggest opening weekend totals came with fan-favorite Finding Nemo and The Incredibles, both pulling in just over $70 million.
Like other Pixar films, WALL-E is for people of all ages and is rated G.
