Helena Bonham Carter Joins “Terminator” Cast
30-Jun-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril
Carter has previously starred in Fight Club.
The new remake of the Terminator franchise directed by McG, added another highly-regarded actor Sunday. The Hollywood Reporter says Helena Bonham Carter, who recently starred as Bellatrix Lestrange (in the Harry Potter series) and Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, will take on a small role in the film.
Carter, who is known in the industry for avoiding blockbuster films, has actually starred in quite a few in recent years (many of which were directed by her partner, Tim Burton). In addition to the Harry Potter series, Burton was a part of Planet of the Apes in 2001 and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2005.
McG’s cast for the new Terminator film will fast forward into the battle to keep the human race alive. The film will center around John Connor, who just barely avoided death multiple times in the previous films. As it currently stands, the cast is very impressive and consists of actors who are very different. The list includes Carter, Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard and Common.
