McCain Campaign Pulls Ads from Hostile Anti-Obama Web Sites

Campaign takes advertisements down after being contacted by CNN.

Republican presidential hopeful John McCain's campaign has decided to pull advertisements from various Web sites that show hostility towards his opponent, Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, according to CNN.

His campaign found out about how various sites they were advertising on were vilifying his opponent from CNN.

McCain's campaign has been advertising on pro-Hillary Rodham Clinton Web sites in an attempt to appeal to the registered voters who once supported the former Democratic presidential candidate.

However, the campaign came across three Web sites that were extremely hostile towards the Illinois senator, making offensive references and comparisons.

Some of the most noteworthy quotes that were found on the Web sites about the Democrat include one that compared the presidential hopeful to Adolf Hitler, another that claimed he was courting Jew haters and a third that mentioned he was influenced by Communism.

Brian Rogers, spokesman for the McCain campaign, told CNN that once they become aware of a Web site that they are advertising on that appears to be offensive or invalid, they inform the distributor of the advertisement and add the Web site to a list of blocked URLs.
