Rush Limbaugh Inks $400 Million Contract Extension

The deal will keep the talk show host with Premiere Radio Networks until 2016.
Rush Limbaugh has signed an extremely lucrative contract extension with Premiere Radio Networks that will keep him with the company until 2016, the talk-show personality told the New York Times in an article set to be published Sunday.
He told the newspaper that he would receive a nine-figure signing bonus, and his average yearly salary would be about $38 million a year.
The best part about his contract is that Limbaugh gets to do his three-hour show from his Florida home. The second best thing (or maybe the first, depending on one’s greed) is that Florida doesn’t have income tax.
The reason for the astronomical dollar amount is because Limbaugh’s show is heard on more than 600 radio stations, and he is listened to at least once a week by more than 14 million people, according to Talkers magazine.
“This is exactly where I want to be, doing what I was born to do, with an amazing audience and phenomenal support from affiliate stations and sponsors,” Limbaugh said in a statement. “I’m having more fun that a human being should be allowed to have.”
