Sigourney Weaver Is a Tall Order
Actress Sigourney Weaver reveals that she loves collaborating on films with Mel Gibson, because the actor has never made her feel insecure about her stature, WENN reports.
As a matter of fact, Weaver cites Gibson as being the man who helped her get over her insecurities. Unlike many actors who made her feel awkward when she towered over them, Gibson embraced her. "When I first started out, there were very few tall actors. . . . Mel Gibson got on a box, never had a problem. He was just as sweet as can be," Weaver recalls about working on 1982's The Year of Living Dangerously.
At 5'11", Weaver has always struggled to find proportionate leading men. But, Gibson "was just so secure about my height," says the actress. "He just thought it was a lark, he thought it was funny."
Weaver is currently working on the films, Avatar, Crazy on the Outside, and Prayers for Bobby, all due out in 2009.
