Rainn Wilson’s Masculine Standards
3-Jul-2008
Written by: Angela P. Cobb

“The Office” star calls legendary rockers “girly.”

Actor Rainn Wilson has criticized groups such as Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin for their choice of attire, saying that they were “too girly,” WENN reports.

The Office actor admits that he enjoyed the music of both groups, but just couldn’t stomach them when they took certain fashion turns. “I grew up listening to a lot of classic rock. I loved AC/DC, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin,” says the actor. In his new movie, The Rocker, Wilson portrays a ruined drummer who is trying to make it big again, so apparently now he is an expert.

And Wilson has some fashion qualms with the legendary rockers: “As soon as it started to get girly, as soon as they were wearing women's blouses, mascara and eyeliner - guy-liner I call it - as soon as it went there then it kind of lost me.”

Wilson is currently filming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which is due out in 2009.
