Christie Brinkley’s Husband Suicidal After Affair

Brinkley says husband was hysterical after she found out about affair.
Day two of the Christie Brinkley divorce trial exposed suicidal tendencies by the model’s ex-husband-to-be.
During her two hour testimony on Thursday, Brinkley said Peter Cook was suicidal after she found out about his affair with an 18-year-old girl in 2006, according to reports by People magazine.
The model spoke of a call received from Cook in which he threatened to kill himself.
"He was sobbing and said he was driving erratically and that, 'I'm going to drive into a tree,'" she said.
"I said, 'Pull over. You need help.' He said, 'No, I'm going to kill myself.' Then I spent the rest of the day trying to find a place he could go to get help."
Brinkley also touched on the subject of her and Billy Joel's daughter, Alexa, whom Cook had a bad relationship with, worsening after the birth of their daughter, Sailor, in 1998.
"He would constantly be picking on her. It got worse and worse over the years," told Brinkley.
"Finally one day I told Peter, 'You married me and my two children. If you can't love all of us, I can't stay in this marriage.'"
