Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend: True Love That’s Vomit-Worthy
3-Jul-2008
Written by: Jonathan Drew Turner
“Hancock” star is softer, gentler because of her man.
Listening to celebrities talk about true love is a little like going to Gary Busey for psychiatric counseling; there is no real sense behind it.
Hollywood relationships are notorious for having a lifespan equal to that of John McEnroe's TV show, but apparently Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend are the exception to the rule.
In a recent gab fest with Elle UK, Theron explains that the ring her boyfriend gave her was not an engagement ring but rather an "ongoing love note."
"It's a Victorian thing. You put in a lock of hair or a little note to remind you of your loved one."
At least viles of blood aren't involved, but we'll wait on that one.
She went on to explain that Townsend "softened her."
"He was one of the few guys who wasn't afraid of me. What he saw was not toughness, but vulnerability," Theron said.
"I am massively vulnerable, and for so long I worked hard to cover that up."
I shouldn't have had sausage and peppers for lunch because it's starting to come back up.
The smitten kitten and her Irish boyfriend starred together in 2002's Trapped, in which they played a blackmailed husband and wife.
