Christie Brinkley Forgives Her Husband’s Mistress

The former supermodel forgives the young girl her husband cheated on her with.
After testifying for a whole day, Christie Brinkley is making peace with her husband’s former teenage mistress, 21-year-old Diana Bianchi.
“She was manipulated.”
According to People, Brinkley told reporters that she forgives Bianchi. "I'd just like to say after two days of testimony that I can't help but think about Diana Bianchi, and I want her and her family to know that I feel really badly for them," said Brinkley. "I feel bad for her and I forgive her completely."
"Today was really difficult reliving all the horrors (of what happened two years ago)," the former supermodel added.
According to E!’s coverage of the trial today, Brinkley found out about Cook’s infidelity from Bianchi’s policeman father. "I was just in shock," she said. "I just started driving away from my perfect life. I thought I had the picket fence. We were happy."
Newsday reports that when court came to a recess, Cook belittled his wife’s testimony: "Shrek was more believable."
Monday’s continuation of the trial will focus mainly on the custody of Brinkley and Peter Cook’s children, Sailor, 10, and Jack, 13. Both of the parents are reportedly seeking sole custody.
A source says that on Wednesday, Bianchi approached Brinkley's daughter Alexa Joel, 20, outside the courtroom and apologized.
"Diana said, 'I am sorry for the pain I have caused you and your family,'" says the source. "Alexa then hugged her and said, 'We have all been through a lot.'"
The children are not expected to take the witness stand.
