Madonna Denies Love Life Rumors
6-Jul-2008
Written by: Ivana Cheong

The singer clears up rumors of her divorcing and having an affair with A-Rod.

“I have learned over the years not to take accusations and the many false reports about me very seriously. I also appreciate how fiction and fact seem to be perceived as one and the same by people who read both newspapers and the Internet,” Madonna says.

In saying that, the singer denies any rumors about her love life that have surfaced over the last few weeks, in an exclusive statement released to People.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie have been married seven years and do not plan on ending it soon. “My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce,” she says.

In addition, it’s also been rumored that she is having an affair with Yankees player Alex Rodriguez, aka A-Rod. “I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary,” she states, “who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez.”

Sources have said that A-Rod’s wife, Cynthia, is blaming the rumors for the fallout of her marriage. To that, Madonna says, “I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study.”
