No More “Friends”
7-Jul-2008
Written by: Melanie Sutrathada

“Friends” will not be following in the footsteps of “Sex and the City.”

After the huge box office success of Sex and the City, rumors have been circulating regarding a Friends movie too.

However, contrary to recent reports, a reunion will not be occurring for the TV sitcom, which starred Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry. Despite stories that the Friends cast was inspired by the success of Sex and the City: The Movie, which was originally a TV series as well, the claims have been refuted.

According to the Daily Dish, a Warner Bros. representative from the U.K. and reps for the actors have denied the story. Matthew Perry's publicist, Lisa Kasteler, said, “Nothing is happening in this regard, so the rumor is false,” while the publicist for David Schwimmer said, “There’s no discussion about it.”

How disappointing for all the fans of Friends!
