Jack Black Had One Crazy Wedding
Funnyman Jack Black recalls that his marriage to Tanya Haden in March of 2006 was one wacky event, WENN reports.
"They had a special package deal where you can get married by a woman named Soaring. . . . The ceremony was pretty hippie, spacey and non-denominational," Black recalls of his unconventional wedding day.
While the two eloped in Big Sur, California, there were plenty of interesting "guests" on hand. Haden insisted on bringing her collection of stuffed animals with her. The only ones there were "just us, Soaring, a photographer and Tanya's stuffed animals," Black recalls. The comedian explains: "She has a bunch of stuffed animals that she gives voice to. All her animals and characters were there - Quacker, Imaginary Bear, Pee, Richard, Harold - and they were the witnesses."
But the couple's special guests were not just limited to their ceremony. When the two returned to Los Angeles, the stuffed animals also graced friends . . . in the form of a puppet show put on by Haden. The premise was "all about Quacker, the duck, who was a little bit p**sed off because he was best friends with Tanya," Black reminisces.
"A slide show that he narrated told the story of how we came together and fell in love, and how he was crushed by loneliness," he quips.
