System of a Down Unlikely to Reunite Anytime Soon
8-Jul-2008
Written by: Justin Zaremba

System of a Down is unlikely to come back from their hiatus anytime soon because band members are currently focused on individual projects.

According to Gigwise, rock band System of a Down has shelved plans for a comeback tour due to the fact that band members are too busy working on their own projects.

The band went on hiatus in 2006 with frontman Serj Tankian releasing solo material and guitarist Daron Malakian and drummer John Dolmayan performing with their band, Scars on Broadway.

Malakian insists a reunion is years away.

Malakian added, “If someday it feels right for us to do it then we'll do it, but as of right now, I'm really focused on this [Scars on Broadway] and I want to take this to different levels and so does John.”

“We don't talk about System, we don't talk about doing System. If it does happen I see it being very, very far down the line.”
