McCain Addresses Immigration During Speech to Hispanic Group
8-Jul-2008
Written by: Steve Ruback

Republican nominee speaks on the issue of immigration earlier today.

Republican presidential nominee John McCain’s campaign is scheduled to give speeches focusing on his proposals in terms of affecting the unemployment rate in our nation, as well as altering the current state of the economy, if he is ultimately to be elected President.

During a speech given to the League of United Latin American Citizens on Tuesday, which is abbreviated as the LULAC, USA Today is reporting that McCain spoke in detail about the topic of immigration reform.

The Republican presidential hopeful addressed the fact that sealing off the border is not going to cut it and a comprehensive reform of immigration will be implemented if he is to be victorious in the upcoming general election.

Senator McCain told those in attendance, “We have economic and humanitarian responsibilities as well, and they require no less dedication from us in meeting them.”

In an attempt to appeal to the Hispanics’ specific needs, the presidential candidate mentioned how his proposed tax and spending cuts would assist the approximately two million Latino-owned businesses that currently operate in our country.
