8-Jul-2008
Written by: Steve Ruback

Famous hook man, rhythm and blues artist handed felony charges due to death threats.

SOHH.com is reporting that R&B artist Nate Dogg, whose legal name is Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, has been charged with three separate felonies by a Los Angeles District Attorney in response to allegations that he is threatening and stalking his ex-wife.

Hale has been given charges of stalking and giving criminal threats to his ex-wife that qualify as felonies, according to TMZ. A charge of driving with a suspended license, that qualifies as a misdemeanor, was also given to the R&B artist.

One of the felony charges that have been released to the public specifically details an incident that occurred back on July 20.

The charge reads, “[A] Felony, was committed by Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, who did willfully and unlawfully threaten to commit a crime, which would result in death and great bodily injury to Latoya C. It is further alleged that the said Latoya C. was reasonably in fear of her safety.”

Nate Dogg is known throughout the entertainment industry as one of the most prominent West Coast hook-specialty artists in hip-hop and R&B history. Some of his most famous guest appearances include choruses sang on Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg’s “Next Episode,” Eminem’s “Shake That” and Ludacris’s “Area Codes.”
