Songs from other familiar alternative and hip-hop names will also appear on the soundtrack.
Scottish rock group Franz Ferdinand’s song, “Lucid Dreams,” will lead the in-game soundtrack for this August’s upcoming Madden '09 video game, Billboard reports.
Set to release on August 12, the newest installment of the EA sports video game series will also include “I’m Home,” a song from Gym Class Heroes’ new album, The Quilt, which will hit stores September 9.
“Lucid Dreams” will appear on Franz Ferdinand’s next album, which is not due until February.
The entire Madden '09 soundtrack will consist of 26 songs from acts ranging from reggae rapper Kardinal Offishall to a Busta Rhymes/Linkin Park collaboration.
Songs from acts such as Airborne, who also appeared on last year’s soundtrack, Kidz in the Hall, The All-American Rejects, Tyga, Hollywood Undead and Rev Theory will appear on the soundtrack as well.
According to Billboard, EA plans to have another artist, who is yet to be announced, perform on a late night show the week of August 4 to promote the new soundtrack.
Last year’s Madden '08 soundtrack included songs from Miami rapper Pitbull, The Hives, Swizz Beats and Yellowcard, among others.
