Army Wives, one of Lifetime's most popular shows, is returning for an 18-episode third season, according to Reuters. The show, which chronicles the experiences of four women and one man as they experience life on an army base, recently started its second season. Catherine Bell, Sally Pressman and Kim Delaney headline the successful show.
According to Lifetime's statistics, Army Wives, which debuted in 2007, is ad-supported basic cable's most popular show among women ages 18 to 49 and 25 to 54, reports Reuters. The two age groups are the most sought-after by networks; clearly, Lifetime has found a formula that works.
