Actors on New Oliver Stone Movies Get Arrested
The new controversial Oliver Stone film, W., has been given some unwanted publicity as stars Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright, plus five other members of crew, were arrested in Louisiana on Saturday morning.
The arrest came following a brawl at the Stray Cat bar in Shreveport, LA around 2 a.m. The Shreveport Times reports that Brolin, Wright and the several others had tried to halt the officers' involvement in the brawl.
They were later charged with interfering with police.
An insider who knows Brolin claimed, "He was released very soon after the incident," the source said. "It was not a bar fight. It wasn't a physical situation."
Brolin was released after paying $334 bail. Wright, however, was not listed in police booking records.
W. is Stone's story on the life of George W. Bush; Brolin plays President Bush and Wright plays former Secretary of State Colin Powell. Other stars include Thandie Newton and Elizabeth Banks, they, however, were not involved in the incident.
