Governor Schwarzenegger Would Accept Cabinet Position from Obama
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger of California has been an advocate and supporter of Republican presidential candidate John McCain in his attempt to control the White House in the upcoming general election.
However, in an interview that aired yesterday on ABC, the Governor expressed that he would consider taking a cabinet position with McCain's opponent, Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, if he were to win November's election.
According to the New York Times, Schwarzenegger stated that the position he is interested in would be to serve as Obama's energy and environment czar.
The California Governor mentioned during the interview that whether or not he is elected as a cabinet member, he plans on promoting clean energy by traveling the world and spreading its importance once his term has come to an end.
In reference to Obama, Schwarzenegger told ABC, "I'd take his call now, and I'd take his call when he's president - any time. Remember, no matter who is president, I don't see this as a political thing. I see this as we always have to help, no matter what the administration is."
