Rolling Stone Guitarist Ronnie Wood Admitted to Rehab

Rolling Stone guitarist Ronnie Wood has been admitted to rehab following a series of reports indicating he has a relationship with a Russian cocktail waitress.

According to Reuters, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has entered rehab for a drinking problem.

Wood's spokeswoman stated, "Following Ronnie's continued battle with alcohol he has entered a period of rehab. His close family and friends say he is seeking help and look forward to his recovery."

Wood's announcement follows a series of British gossip reports that the 61-year-old guitarist was involved in a relationship with a young Russian cocktail waitress. His relationship was said to have threatened his 23-year-old marriage to his wife, Jo.

Wood has a notable history of substance abuse prior to this recent admission to rehab. Before the Rolling Stones' 2002 tour, Mick Jagger and Wood's wife persuaded him to enter rehab.

Previous interventions by fellow Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards resulted in Richards drawing a knife or wielding a pistol in the process.
