Another Attempt at a Comeback

Britney Spears seems intent on getting back on the charts.
Britney Spears may be making a comeback soon! After numerous scandals and breakdowns, 26-year-old Britney seems to be making a gallant effort to put herself back on the charts. Currently, the tabloid queen is “spending her summer in the recording studio,” according to a statement released from her label, Jive Records. While working on her sixth album, Britney appears to be making good progress. “She's working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters. And we're very excited about what she's achieved so far,” says her manager, Larry Rudolph. These producers include JR Rotem, Sean Garrett, Guy Sigsworth, Nate “Danja” Hills, Rodney “Darkchild” Jenkins and Bloodshy & Avant.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, the album, which has no release date as of yet, will be the follow-up to last year's Blackout, which has sold over 879,000 copies in the U.S. and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 last November.
