Katie Holmes Reunites with the World of Television

Holmes returns to the world of television with her appearance in the ABC show, “Eli Stone.”
Katie Holmes has come full circle in her acting career.
In addition to making her debut on television, starring in movies and preparing for turns in Broadway, Holmes is also expected to reunite with the world of television, where viewers of Dawson’s Creek helped make her famous.
According to eFluxMedia and the Associated Press, Holmes is expected to be a special guest on ABC’s legal drama, Eli Stone. Interestingly, this effort will have her working with Greg Berlanti, who functioned as executive producer of the very show where she got her start. He is also the co-creator of the program.
Holmes’s role on the show, based on reports by eFluxMedia, will be that of a nonprofit attorney whose life intersects with the life of the title character. This role also affords Holmes the rare opportunity to display her singing and dancing skills along with her acting talents.
She will start preparing for this role in July, with the episode premiering on October 21, making it the second of the season.
The concept of Eli Stone chronicles the life of the title character, a successful attorney who learns that he has a brain aneurism that leads to hallucinations.
Along with Holmes, singer George Michael lent his star power to this series, appearing to Stone as an angel. He is expected to return in the show’s second season.
Based on reports by eFluxMedia, Holmes’s appearance on the show is thanks to
Berlanti, who thought that her presence would generate more viewers on the show. After begging her to appear, she said “I would love to.”
Berlanti has high regard for Holmes, calling her a good friend and an incredible actress. It remains to be seen whether or not his decision to choose her will generate the results that he wants.
