Scrubs Star to Quit
Actor Zack Braff is set to leave the hit medical comedy, Scrubs, WENN reports.
Braff, who portrays Dr. John Dorian, has been with the show since its inception in 2001. Bill Lawrence, the show's creator, has also confirmed the actor's departure and reveals, "The end of the show will be about J.D. leaving the hospital. "
While many have seen this as a hint that Braff's exit could mean a flatline for the program, Lawrence insists, "You can't kill this show."
During its seven year run on television - most on NBC and more recently ABC - the medical comedy has garnered three Golden Globe nominations, as well as a laundry list of dozens of other accolades. The show has also become popular for its varied cameo appearances with stars such as Jay Leno, Colin Farrell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and George Takei, all making appearances during the show's run.
