Fergie to Star in Musical
Singer will have major role in new Rob Marshall film.
Fergie is following the steps of many musicians and making the cross from music to film. The Black Eyed Peas leading singer was just cast in one of the major roles for the new musical, Nine.
The film will also feature Kate Hudson, Sophia Loren, Penelope Cruz and Marion Cotillard in starring roles but according to Access Hollywood, Fergie's role will be significant.
Nine, to be directed by Rob Marshall, has a story line loosely based on the life of Italian director Federico Felini and his work, 8?, which centers around the women in the life of Guido Contini, who will be played by Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis.
Nine starts shooting in October.
