Jolie-Pitts Check Out of French Hospital
Angelina Jolie and her new twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, left the Lenval Hospital in Nice, France early Saturday morning, E! Online reports.
Though she had reportedly been hoping to use a helicopter, a source told E! News that Jolie left the hospital around 4 a.m. in a blacked-out ambulance, as helicopters can only access the hospital roof during emergencies. The source revealed that the Jolie-Pitt family decided to leave late at night in an attempt to avoid being followed by paparazzi, claiming, "It was for her [Jolie's] and the twin's safety."
Staff at the Lenval Hospital released a statement on its Web site Saturday morning confirming this news, and adding, "The mother and her babies are doing very well."
The message also said, "The general management of Lenval and Santa Maria want to thank the team for the attention and care they pay to the family, and those of the journalists around the hospital who did their best to respect their privacy."
Though just two days ago the hospital reported that Jolie would most likely be remaining in their care on bed rest until 8-10 days after her C-section, it appears as though Jolie and the babies were in good health and were released early.
