Elton John Verbally Assaults Taiwanese Photographers
23-Sep-2004
Written by: Dino-Ray Ramos

Rock legend Elton John exchanges some harsh words with paparazzi before his concert in Taipei.

Upon arrival to the Chiang Kai-shek International Airport, Elton John was attacked by Taiwanese photographers.

"Rude, vile pigs," the British rock star shouted in retaliation. ""Do you know what that means? Rude, vile pigs. That's what all of you are."

After being asked by one of the cameramen, "Why don't you leave Taiwan?" John continued the insults and said he'd love to "if it's full of people like you."

At his performance at the Chungshan Stadium in Yuanshan, he told the audience of over 6,000 fans that the airport photographers were the rudest people, but apologized for his actions.

Immediately after the concert, he and his company departed to the airport.
