In the ladies category, Cameron Diaz led, grossing $50 million this past year, reported the BBC.

Smith was joined at the top of the men’s category with Johnny Depp and Eddie Murphy in the past year. In between June 1, 2007 and June 1, 2008 Smith made his way to the top with I Am Legend, Hancock, and The Pursuit of Happyness, which also got him a best actor Oscar in 2007, according to BBC.

Johnny Depp made his way to $72 million in the same time frame with the final saga of Pirates of the Caribbean. Also in second in the lady’s category was British actress Keira Knightly, making $32 million for her part in the latest Pirates installment, as well as her role in Atonement. She also made money this year for being the face of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle perfume, reported the BBC.

In the “tweens” list, the young Britons made a strong performance. Daniel Radcliffe of the Harry Potter series shared the top spot with the American, Miley Cyrus, making $25 million all together. Radcliffe’s costars also made the top ten, according to Forbes.

The author of the Harry Potter series made it onto a Forbes list as well, making a total of $300 million with her worldwide selling of the boy wizard series, according to the BBC. She was able to earn even more than Oprah Winfrey who made $275 million.
