Simon Cowell Is America's Favorite Reality Villain
Simon Cowell has been voted reality TV's biggest villain, according to a new poll by AOL Television, Monsters and Critics reports.
The notoriously harsh American Idol judge was voted as America's favorite reality TV villain in an AOL survey that drew in more than 1.3 million votes. Cowell received 39 percent of votes in the poll, giving him the number one slot. The judge was followed closely behind by Dick from Big Brother 8, who received 24 percent of votes and Dustin Diamond from Celebrity Fit Club, who got 16 percent of America's votes. Surprisingly, The Hills star Spencer Pratt received only 10 percent of the ballots, and missed out on the title.
But Cowell was not the only American Idol judge awarded a top prize in the poll. Paula Abdul was voted the worst reality television judge, garnering 42 percent of votes and beating out JC Chasez, Tyra Banks, and Piers Morgan.
While American Idol was elected as the best reality television show on the air, not surprisingly perhaps, voters chose Flavor of Love as their least favorite. VH1's hit also won top honors in the "Show You'd Never Go On" category, and its namesake, Flavor Flav won "Scariest Star."
AOL Television's poll on the best and worst of American reality TV was conducted between July 9 and 23 and according to their estimates, attracted over 1.3 million votes.
