Ashley Tisdale Dislikes Disney

Ashley Tisdale, 23, is leaving the cast of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody!

Reportedly, after playing the role of Maddie Fitzpatrick for three years on the Disney Channel series, the Picture This star wanted to use her fame from the High School Musical movies to help her land bigger roles and assist her in launching a singing career. According to sources close to Tisdale, Ashley wants to be known as more than just a Disney star and hopes to land more "racy" and "edgy" roles in the future.

However, although The Suite Life of Zack & Cody has shut down for good, the rest of Tisdale's costars will be acting in a spin-off for the show, The Suite Life on Deck, which will premiere this fall. Unfortunately, Tisdale will not be a member of the cast, but a representative confirmed that the blonde-bombshell will be making at least one guest appearance throughout the season.

Before Tisdale moves on completely from the Disney Channel though, you can catch her on the big screen for High School Musical 3: Senior Year in October.
