Amy's Break Might Be Over
Troubled "Rehab" singer Amy Winehouse has been offered a whopping $2 million to perform for the son of the Sultan of Brunei.
Despite recently vowing to take a break from live performances until September, Winehouse may make an exception for Prince Azim, who is throwing a huge private party in November. The 24-year-old Prince Azim is reportedly in line to inherit a share of his father's $50 billion fortune, and is therefore willing to shell out $2 million to have the beehived Winehouse make an appearance.
While Winehouse is contemplating the offer, rumor has it that she has told friends that she could use the money to turn her husband's life around once he is released from jail. "The offer comes at a time when Blake is very much on Amy's mind. Things still need to be worked out, but, if she does the gig, she will hand the fee straight to Blake who should be free soon afterwards," a friend of Winehouse told the Daily Star, Sunday, about her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil. "She thinks it will give him something to make a fresh start with. And he can plan how best to use the money during the rest of his sentence. One idea is that he could use the cash to set himself up in business," the source explains. Will Winehouse decide to take Prince Azim's offer?
