Attorney Sues Ed McMahon

The financially-strapped Ed McMahon is being sued by a divorce attorney who claims that McMahon failed to pay him after representing McMahon's daughter in a "matrimonial matter."

Ed McMahon, the former sidekick to Johnny Carson, who has faced considerable financial difficulties as of late, was sued in federal court Wednesday by a New York divorce attorney who claims that he was not paid after representing McMahon's daughter, E! reports.

Attorney Norman Solovay claims that he was hired by McMahon and his wife, Pamela, to represent Linda Schmerge, McMahon's daughter from another relationship, in a "matrimonial matter." Solovay states that he has received no payment for the $275,168 bill that his client ran up.

McMahon's publicist, Howard Bragman, said, "We reserve comment until we've had the chance to review the documents, which we haven't been served with yet."
