Lohan Upset About Police “Gay” Remark
2-Aug-2008
Written by: Marques Camp

L.A. Police Chief rebuked by Lohan.

Lindsay Lohan, subject of rampant speculation about the nature of her relationship with friend Samantha Ronson, said that police have no business getting involved in her personal life, the Associated Press reports.

Lohan's reponse comes two days after Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton said that paparazzi had become less of a problem because Lohan, Britney Spears, and Paris Hilton have seemingly settled down to more moderate lifestyles.

“If you notice, since Britney started wearing clothes and behaving; Paris is out of town not bothering anybody anymore, thank God; and evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don't seem to have much of an issue,” Bratton told KNBC-TV.

“Police chiefs shouldn't get involved in everyone else's business when it comes to their personal life. It's inappropriate,” Lohan said in a video shot by paparazzi Friday and posted on TMZ.com.

Bratton was speaking about his refusal to participate in a meeting that was called by elected officials to discuss new laws concerning problem paparazzi.

Bratton said in a later news conference that his sister is gay and that he is a proponent for gay rights.
