Christina Applegate Diagnosed with Breast Cancer
Actress Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with what is said to be an early stage of breast cancer, reported BBC News.
Applegate, who has become a household name through her role as Kelly Bundy in TV's Married with Children, reportedly underwent an MRI scan ordered by her doctor, leading to the discovery of the cancer.
Ame Van Iden, Applegate's publicist, said, "The cancer is not life threatening. She is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery."
Applegate, who is no stranger to the big screen, also starred in Anchorman and The Sweetest Thing. She made a cameo appearance on Friends, and won an Emmy in the category of best guest appearance, thanks to her role as Rachel's sister on the show.
Applegate, 36, also stars in TV's witty Samantha Who. She won a Golden Globe for her work on the show, and last month she was nominated for an Emmy. In the show, she plays an amnesiac with no memory of her past.
