Calvin Klein Ad Too Much for TV

A new ad for Calvin Klein's "Secret Obsession" fragrance has been banned from American television.

A newly released fragrance ad from Calvin Klein has been banned from U.S. airwaves for being too racy, according to the New York Daily News.

The ad for Klein's fragrance, "Secret Obsession," features a nude Eva Mendes whispering, "Between love and madness lies obsession," while rolling around on an unmade bed caressing her breasts, and exposing her nipple.

The ban on the 30-second TV spot doesn't have Klein execs fazed, however. The president and chief operating officer of Calvin Klein, Inc., Tom Murry, released a statement saying, "We believe the commercial is exceptional and hit's the mark for Secret Obsession. . . . We are anticipating a very successful global launch."

An edited version of the fragrance ad will run in the states, while the original will run throughout the rest of the globe.
