David Cooking His First Album
American Idol winner David Cook has teamed up with Grammy winning producer Rob Cavallo for his upcoming solo album, according to E! Online.
Cavallo has collaborated with some of the music industry's most boasted rockers including Kid Rock, Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls, Eric Clapton, My Chemical Romance, and the Dave Matthews Band.
Cook has been working on his album, both recording and cowriting tracks, in between stops on the American Idols Live! Tour. He has reportedly completed 7 tracks, and is preparing up to 20 to choose from for the album.
According to E! Online, the album is still untitled and has no specific release date, but is expected to drop sometime in November. However, Cook's debut album will face some competition. American Idol runner-up David Archuleta is expected to release his first album on the very same day!
