Pitt Joins Tarantino's "Inglorious Bastards"

According to the Hollywood Reporter, actor Brad Pitt has joined the cast of Quentin Tarantino's next film, Inglorious Bastards.

In the WWII film, Pitt will play Lieutenant Aldo Raine, the head of the Jewish resistance.

Simon Pegg, best known for Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, has also reportedly entered into discussions to join the cast.

The movie, which will be unveiled in Cannes next year, will begin filming in October in Germany.

Producer Lawrence Bender informed the Hollywood Reporter that Tarantino and Pitt would make a formidable partnership. He said, "They're going to push each other and really help make something special."

The film will be produced and distributed by Weinstein Company and Universal.
