Police Officer in Florida Resigns After Being Caught on Camera

Three unidentified officers may face disciplinary action.

According to the Associated Press, three unidentified police officers in Florida, one of whom has resigned and the other two who have been placed on administrative leave, are being investigated in order to determine whether or not they will face potential disciplinary action.

The incident that resulted in the controversy stemmed from when a masked man, 42-year-old Pablo Valenzuela, entered a CVS Pharmacy with pepper spray demanding store clerks that they provide him with oxycodone.

After running out of the store from the police, Valenzuela reportedly spat at two of the police officers who then proceeded to snap, kicking Valenzuela while the third officer punched the criminal in the face repeatedly while he was handcuffed.

Valenzuela suffered a broken jaw and his eyes were black and blue as a result of the attack, according to the Associated Press.

A camera located on the dashboard of their police car captured all of the footage from the merciless beat down that took place in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy where the incident occurred.
