Cruise Is Minus a Production Manager

Cruise’s production partner, Paula Wagner, is stepping down as executive of United Artists.
Paula Wagner, aka Tom Cruise’s production partner, will be stepping down from her executive position at United Artists, E! Online reports.
She will reportedly keep her co-ownership in UA, and the films she has already in progress should not be affected as her work on them will still go on. Cruise’s place in the company is expected to remain unchanged as well.
Her reason for leaving was so that she could go back to doing what she loved. Wagner said in a statement Wednesday, “As much as I’ve enjoyed my time as an executive, I have longed to return to my true love, which is making movies, so that’s what I’ve decided to do.”
There seems to be no hard feelings toward Cruise as Wagner says of their partnership, “I’ve truly relished working with my longtime partner Tom Cruise to revitalize United Artists, and I am proud of all that we’ve accomplished in the past two years, reinvigorating the brand and developing such a strong slate of films.”
Reportedly, her executive days are expected to be over after Bryan Singe’s Valkyrie, a World War II thriller, is released on December 26.
Cruise and Wagner have had a successful partnership, and it seems as though this separation will not put a damper on any future projects.
