Dreamsworks in Talks to Make a Sequel to "Kung Fu Panda"

Dreamworks is currently in talks to make a sequel to the blockbuster hit, "Kung Fu Panda."

Dreamworks confirmed that it is currently in talks to make a sequel to the animated film, Kung Fu Panda, Reuters reports.

Chief executive Jeffrey Katzenberg reportedly told Reuters, during a screening of clips from Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, that an official announcement could be made within two months.

Katzenberg said, "We've started conversations about it, and I think in the next 30 or 60 days, we'll be able to talk completely about that."

The movie, which is set in China, follows the journey of a seemingly clumsy panda in his efforts to become a kung fu warrior.

Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie and Lucy Liu lent their voices to the film which took in $560 million in global ticket sales. Surpassing the Shrek franchise, Kung Fu Panda has become Dreamworks' most successful movie to date.
