Winslet Calls Love Scene with DiCaprio "Weird"
Actress Kate Winslet says that filming a sex scene with her good friend and Titanic co-star, Leonardo Dicaprio, while being filmed by her husband, was just plain "weird," Fox News reports.
In its upcoming issue, the actress told Entertainment Weekly that during the filming of her new movie with DiCaprio, Revolutionary Road, she "just kept saying, 'This is too . . . weird.'"
She claims that, "Leo was like, 'Oh, get over it.' And I'm going, 'Yeah, a little reminder: You're my best friend. He's my husband. This is a bit weird.'"
Winslet and her husband, director Sam Mendes, have been married since 2003. He told the magazine, "I will admit it was quite bizarre to direct my wife in how to make love," but added, "It's difficult whether you're married to a person or not."
The actress and her co-star, 33-who last starred together in the 1997 blockbuster, Titanic-play a young, suburban couple in the filmic adaptation of Richard Yates's popular 1961 novel of the same name.
"I hadn't realized how much my chemistry with him since Titanic would still stick," she said of her experience working with DiCaprio again. "It's great to discover we can just slip right into it, like muscle memory."
