Twilight Film to Come Out in November
15-Aug-2008
Written by: Jessica Mccumber

The release date of Twilight movie moved to November.

According to Variety.com, the movie, Twilight, based on Stephanie Meyer’s popular books involving a young girl’s romance with a vampire, is set now to be released on November 21, instead of its original release date, December 12.

Apparently, the announcement of the move of the next Harry Potter movie release date Thursday had something to do with the change. Summit Entertainment co-chairman and CEO Rob Friedman said, “With a giant franchise like ‘Harry Potter’ in the market, we had to stay clear of it.”

Friedman goes on to say, “Their move created an opportunity to bring the movie to fans three weeks earlier, who have continued to show their enthusiasm, from Comic-Con to the giant Breaking Dawn book sales. We felt we had to take that opportunity.”

The film will be starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart and is directed by Catherine Hardwicke. The script for the film was written by Melissa Rosenberg.

The pushed forward release date will surely be welcome by fans. Reportedly, loyal fans of the “Twilight” series will have the opportunity to see the film as it is planned to be released in more than 3,000 theaters.
