Jessica Simpson drops pop for country.
“With You” singer Jessica Simpson has revealed that she is staying away from pop music as much as possible and will instead be focusing on country music. “I will never do pop again,” Contactmusic quoted Simpson as telling Elle magazine. Although the star recognizes that pop is what made her famous, Simpson reveals that country is where her heart truly is, according to Oneindia.
Instead of pop music, Simpson is determined to be like the country music legend Dolly Parton. “Dolly is awesome! I idolize her. And she is beautiful,” the 28-year-old said. Reportedly, the Texas native wants to make herself just as famous as her idol and was quoted as saying by the Sun, “I would love to be just like her. I have worked with her and it was great.”
