Jennifer Lopez Trains for Triathlon
According to People Magazine, after six months since actress Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins, she is now preparing to participate in her first triathlon with Lucy Danziger, Editor in Chief of Self Magazine.
Lopez, who is 39, is sharing the glorious - and not so glorious - moments that occur when one trains for such event. In an interview on Monday with Good Morning America, Lopez said "Swimming is a killer, I'm not going to lie."
Self determination will assist Lopez in the daunting task as she said, "I'm always challenging myself and seeing what I can do."
With less than a month before the Sept. 14 event, Lopez states that she is allocating plenty of time for her intense workout regimen with trainer Gunnar Peterson.
Lopez is not doing the triathlon for health or personal reasons; she is raising money for the Los Angeles Children's Hospital.
Lopez has been named by Self Magazine as one of the top 10 most inspirational women of 2008. She is scheduled to appear on the cover of September's issue.
Training for the triathlon has taken a toll on family life. According to Lopez, "It's really tiring [but] I like getting a lot of time with the babies."
In order for Lopez to train and spend time with babies Max and Emme, her husband, Marc Anthony, has set up exercise equipment in their home.
Lopez's motto, "Get it done, Lopez! Get it done," will surely bring her closer to the finish line, even if she "has to crawl across that finish line."
