Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Finally Marry

After four years of dating, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi get married Saturday.
TV show host Ellen DeGeneres and television actress Portia de Rossi tied the knot Saturday night at their home in Beverly Hills, according to Us and People magazines.
This wedding is considered to be “the biggest celebrity union since California legalized same-sex marriage,” says FoxNews.com. DeGeneres, 50, wore an all-white outfit complete with a button-up blouse, vest and pants by Zac Posen. Rossi, 35, wore a light pink dress with a long, ball gown-like skirt made by the same designer as her bride, according to FoxNews.com. The two were supported by their mothers, Betty DeGeneres and Margaret Rogers, who attended the wedding along with 17 other guests. Rogers flew in from Rossi’s native home of Australia, according to People.com.
The union had been planned since the ruling for same-sex marriage was finalized in May by the California Supreme Court, but DeGeneres had no date by June, says FoxNews.com. Celebrities including Katherine Heigl and America Ferrera congratulated the two on their celebration; while DeGeneres and Rossi’s wedding singer, Joshua Radin, told People, “I cannot imagine topping that experience.” Radin was chosen by DeGeneres to perform at their wedding as a surprise to Rossi on that special, memorable Saturday in August.
